Ireland

Took the from Holyhead to Dublin. It was quite a bumpy ride but sealegs got us through. We stayed in a cool hostel, near the city centre called Issacs. That night we went out to wander the town and went into Temple Bar, a traditional Irish pub, for dinner. There was loads of chatter and loud men talking and drinking and live irish music, exactly as an Irish pub should be!

The next day we woke up to rain!!!:( The first proper rain this whole trip! So we had to flag our walking tour and headed straight for the Guiness Storehouse! :) 7 floors of Guiness history, shown using technology, displays and exhibitions. It was ever beer lovers, a daughters of beer lovers, dream. The 7th floor was the Gravity Bar, a bar offering drinks and a 360 degree view of Dublin. That afternoon, we hopped on a bus and drove round, looking at the sights. For dinner we went to a resturant that had live music and irish dancing! It was so amazing to be watching irish dancing, while eating irish food, in an irish resturant, in Ireland! Not many people could say they've done that!

We left Dublin and drove to Limmerick, going via Boyle, where our ancestors, the Flanagans, orginally came from. It started hailing ( in spring!!), so we didn't hang around too long! Our travelodge in Limmerick was so classy and nice, we decided to stay two nights, taking a day trip to the Ring of Kerry the following day. It took us all day to drive the Ring of Kerry but that was great. While coming home we stopped in the village of Adare for a drink in the local pub and in there we traded our All Blacks flag for a Munster Flag! So our All Blacks are now forver in Ireland!

Our last night was spend in Rosslare, a ferry port town. When we went to catch the ferry, it was bucketing down so that ferry to Pembrock was also a bumpy ride!
