Its a completely different world in Sautens, Austria. Sautens is a little village near Innsbruck, in the Tirol provience. The cute village is surround by high mountains, dusted with spring snow, and goregous green hills. Its so peaceful and relaxed, the absolute perfect place! We were hosted by our Uncles family, Gebhart, Petzi, Christian and Veronica. They set us up in the most gorgeous hotel, with a stunning view of the mountains and the village. We cannot thank the Oberndorfers enough for the wonderful hospitality the gave us. They were the most perfect hosts in everyway. We felt so welcome and at home! Gerbhart and Christian were magnificent tour guides, showing us all the sights, including Area 47 ( an adventure complex), the famous waterfall, the ski jumps ( which were being used when we were there, as the Austrians ski even when its not snowing) and a fantastic lake ( which was freezing cold but we girls still swam in it). Unfortuantely, the roads are windy and so we apologise to Gerbhart for the vomit that sprayed over his lovely, clean leather car!!!
Having 3 course meals, 3 times a day was unexpected and such anice change from the stale bread we have been eating on other days!! A great time had by all! Dad is actually in love with this postcard like village, and he almost got to the point where he was salivating when ever he looked into the mountains!! It is now on his bucket list as a place to visit in the winter!
We stayed in Sautens for 3 wonderful nights!
