We timed our stay in France just right, as the Cannes Film Festival was on! We trained from Nice to Cannes in the morning! It was an interesting train ride as a crazy, mad lady from Scotland sat next to Mum and Dad and started talking loudly and obnoxiously to them! It was utterly embarrassing!
We arrived and the build up to the premiere at 7 was well underway! We walked down the the quai and found a tour on a little car/train which took us round Cannes, showing us Palm beach, places where movies were shot, famous, star-studded hotels and more! Then we walked down to the NZ film office. After many disscussions, Mum, Bubba and I were brave enough to go up to the office and see if we could get tickets or something. They were extremely nice and gave us postcards and necklaces. They also told us the Jonny Depp, Angelina and Brad, Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams were all here!! They didn't mention though that LADY GAGA was too! On our way to the beach, we spotted a big crowd gathering so we joined in! It took a long time, and some of us got bored and went to swim, but we saw Lady Gaga be sweeped into her car and driven off!
We then we down to the red carpet and saw the stars go in! It was very exciting!!! A great day!
